The University of New Hampshire seeks a seasoned and dynamic leader for a newly restructured campus mental health program serving 15,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Psychological Services is a client-centered holistic mental health program that will be partnered with a complementary Medical Services unit within the emerging campus health and wellness initiative in Student Life. The director provides leadership, coordination, and supervision of a staff of 20 employees, to include 11 licensed clinicians. In addition, the director participates in direct clinical care, and oversees active APA post-and pre-doctoral clinical training programs within Psychological Services. The University of New Hampshire’s Student Life division is in the second year of a redesign of existing student services. The new director must be an active partner with the Senior Vice Provost for Student Life and Dean of Students and other Student Life directors in a tightly integrated support structure emphasizing student resilience, personal growth and positive psychology principles. It is an institutional goal to support students in their development as high achievers capable of managing life stressors effectively during their college years and beyond.
Eligible candidates must have a doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology and a minimum of seven years of administrative, clinical, consulting, and supervisory experience. Candidates also must be eligible for licensure as a psychologist in the State of New Hampshire.
